The Samsung deny plans to launch 12-megapixel mobile phone you believe the fact that Samsung’s first Android-based the Samsung smart phone won’t show up at MWC 2009 is a bad thing? Then you in all probability haven’t heard that other bit of rumor that Samsung nonchalantly smashed on their way out the door.
According to “a source familiar by way of Samsung’s inside market plans” for the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, the company doesn’t intend to introduce a 12-megapixel smart phone nor do they have any Android phones in the horizon. It appears they’re going to leave the spotlight for other manufacturers to show off their wares.
The company won’t reveal what the real score is, refusing to “officially disclose information about the much-anticipated leading-edge phones.” And it’s not known why Samsung is suddenly halting it’s on the face of it non-stop drive of innovation. Perhaps the Ultra Touch Edition Tosco or the solar-powered Blue Earth mobile phone is just too much for them to work on? Probably not, but we’ll also probably have to wait until mobile phone at MWC 2009 to get it in a straight line from the horse’s mouth.
