Dell Builds The Unlocked Edition Streak Offered In US

Today Dell begins selling an unlocked edition of the Streak beside with an OS upgrade. This is the new version streak, which can currently work on T-Mobile or other GSM carriers, is the first in the US to ship with Android 2.2 out of the box.

The upgrade offers it USB tethering, universal multi-touch zooming, improved performance, Flash, 3G hotspot creation and an auto-rotating home screen.

The latest version is only available in black Dell said Android 2.2 is still promised as coming for locked Streaks but currently won’t spin out in the US until “later in December. Read the full story »
